I teach courses in Latin American Politics and Comparative Urban Politics for Berkeley’s Political Science Department, at both the graduate and undergraduate level. In tandem, I have worked with colleagues in Global Metropolitan Studies to develop and teach core classes for the program’s Ph.D. minor (Designated Emphasis). I currently serve as a co-instructor for the gateway course for the D.E., GMS 200 (Introduction to Global Metropolitan Studies). This course provides an introductory to alternative approaches to understanding urban systems, spanning fields as diverse as Anthropology, Economics, Engineering, Geography, Political Science, and Sociology.
